Dear Friends,

Sparking real change and uniting our community has long since been a goal of mine. When people look out for one another and speak up on issues that matter, we can make a difference together. That belief has guided the work I’ve done since I was first elected in 2012 to serve as the State Representative for House District 75. 

My work at the Capitol is grounded in strengthening public schools, expanding economic opportunity, supporting agriculture, and making sure our rural and border communities are never overlooked. Serving as Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee and on the House Natural Resources Committee, I’ve been able to have an unique opportunity to advocate for our community’s priorities with an eye toward fairness, transparency, and long-term impact.

Progress also comes from collaboration with educators, small business owners, farmers, students, and families who understand their communities best. That spirit of partnership extends beyond Texas as well, through my work with colleagues across the country with the Board of Latino Legislative Leaders to ensure Latino voices are represented and heard in legislative spaces.

I am endlessly proud of our community and what we have accomplished thus far. The real measure of how much work we’ve done is though if it makes everyday life better. When local schools are stronger, the government is held accountable, and working families feel seen and respected, our community thrives. 

It is a privilege to serve House District 75. Our work will continue on.
